With the modernization and expansion works of the Archive of the General Directorate of Notaries, of the Secretary of Government, a work done by the Secretary of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility -SICOM-, adequate safeguarding of the documentation of Guanajuatenses is ensured.
Tarcisio Rodriguez Martinez, head of SICOM, said that an investment of 10 million 048 thousand pesos was allocated for the works and equipment carried out in the Archive of the General Directorate of Notaries, through resources agreed with the Secretary of Government.
The State official explained that the building of the Archive of the General Directorate of Notaries consists of two spaces. The south space was intervened in this work, which contains in its architectural program spaces such as the main access area, reception and access control, access and reception of books, consultation and digitization area, toilet and archive, all with an approximate area of 310 square meters.
Rodríguez Martínez commented that, among the works carried out the lighting and contacts in the access, reception, consultation and digitization area were renewed.
The head of SICOM noted that the most important part to ensure the proper protection of the documentation stored in the Archive of the General Directorate of Notaries consists of equipping it with various systems to prevent damage to it due to fire, humidity or floods.
Rodriguez said that for this reason the air conditioning equipment was modernized for better ventilation and air extraction. Also, to increase security mechanisms, they replaced smoke detectors, fire protection with an early detection system, fire panel and suppression system that is automatically activated to extinguish the fire.
As part of the works, a telecommunications system (voice and data, closed circuit television and access control) was also installed; Rodriguez noted that all the equipment complies with international safety standards.
