The State of Guanajuato is positioned as a world leader in business tourism, with the upcoming installation of a World Trade Center campus in San Miguel de Allende.
The Governor, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, said that, with this announcement, Guanajuato endorses its position as a trusted destination for investments, given that the State Government has consolidated a global brand.
“It is an honor for me to participate in this historic announcement of the construction of a World Trade Center campus in San Miguel de Allende. I appreciate the trust of the directors of this world institution, represented by the Executive and Business Development Director, Robin Van Puyenbroeck, and the entire team of the World Trade Center Mexico, because they have maintained their trust in our State”, said the Governor.
The Project:
- It will be built on a 90 hectare site
- The campus will include business components
- Hotel facilities
- Hospital
- Commercial
- Academic
- Service
- Sports
- Residential
All will be constructed under the standard and prestige of the World Trade Center brand.
The initial axis of this project is to develop a Native Forest, by researching and cultivating native species from three centuries ago; The second great axis is to respect the history and traditions of the area, documenting its urban and architectural language and attending to the human being as the guiding axis of the complex.
There are 6 stages in development, starting with the announcement and the first stone in the spring of 2023.
The arrival of the WTC will allow San Miguel de Allende to detonate business tourism, by consolidating this destination as one of the preferred for the movement of international economic links between the productive, business and industrial sectors, mainly between Mexico and the United States.
Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo said that so far in this Government administration, 100 projects have been achieved in terms of attracting investments, which represent an investment of 3,555 million dollars; more than 38,300 committed jobs and the fulfillment of 71% of the six-year goal, which is 5 billion dollars.
“Guanajuato is a State that generates trust in foreign investment, but also in national investment. Guanajuato is a State that has a great opportunity to show itself to the world for what it is, the greatness of Mexico,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
With this investment, the Municipality of San Miguel de Allende endorses its tourist vocation and aims to be the ideal destination for business tourism, since it has a wide range of quality hotels and restaurants.
