The Airport offers 19 domestic and 10 international flights

On December 6, 2023, the Guanajuato International Airport reached a historic achievement by registering a record of 3 million passengers, a figure that places it within the Top 10 Airports in Mexico with the largest number of users.
Guanajuato will have a transcendent end of the year, since the number of passengers will increase in the coming days. According to the Airport, the passenger record was:
- In 2019 2.7 million passengers registered
- In 2020, 1.3 million passengers
- In 2021, 2.1 million passengers
- In 2022, 2.6 million passengers
To celebrate this record, Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, representing Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, visited the Airport facilities to receive the lucky 3 millionth passenger named Karina Dominguez Sanchez, from Leon, who traveled with Volaris from Puerto Vallarta and landed in Guanajuato.
This achievement was celebrated by Jessica Paola Olivo Moreno, Administrator of the Guanajuato International Airport; Juan Pablo Arce, Head of Investment Attraction of Silao, Guanajuato; Martin Navarro Niño, Commander of the Federal Civil Aviation Agency–Guanajuato International Airport; and Edna Adriana Moreno, Station Chief of Volaris Bajio.
“The alliance we have with the Airport, with the Airlines, and with the Federal Civil Aviation Agency, reflects Guanajuato’s commitment with tourism. 3 million passengers in this terminal is a historical record and is a confirmation of how the State has been recovering significantly in tourism because it is an attractive destination,” applauded Alvarez Brunel.
For travelers who visit Guanajuato for cultural, wellness, business, gastronomic, adventure and nature reasons, the Guanajuato International Airport was placed in position 9 among the Airports in Mexico with the highest number of passengers.
