Four hundred content creators tasted gastronomy, spirits and learned about the experiences of tourist destinations in the State of Guanajuato at the 12th edition of Birratour 2025 in the International Tourism Fair -FITUR- in Madrid, Spain.
The Government Delegation of the State of Guanajuato, led by Lupita Robles Leon, Secretary of Tourism and Identity, showed content creators from Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom and Portugal, the benefits of the destination focused on competitiveness, sustainability, quality of service, tourist identity and development of tourist products.
The event is held annually with a great digital impact and the main content creators in Europe participate; participants learned about part of what Guanajuato has to offer and were able to try chocolates marinated with Guanajuatense mezcal Trece Cielos and the flavor of Guanajuatense chef Jonathan Martinez Reyes, from the Xocola-t chocolate shop.
Visitors also tried chocolate with guacamole, guacamaya stuffed with pork rinds and chipotle, covered with 60% cocoa. The Mariachi Loco dish, which mixed cocoa with nopal, spicy xoconostles and peta zeta, with a shot of Mezcal with candied orange, worm salt and chili powder.
“Attendees were impressed with the flavors and quality of the chocolate, as these are experiences they cannot find anywhere else,” said Chef Jonathan Martinez Reyes.
The creators now know that Guanajuato City and San Miguel de Allende are World Heritage Cities, and that we are the only state with two cities declared by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
In its presentation, the Secretary of Tourism offered a balance of tradition, sustainability, identity and innovation with sustainable tourism products that are developed in all regions of the State.
Guanajuato continues to demonstrate that it is a destination that responds to the aspirations of its people, preserving its tourist identity, travel experiences and social development.
