Since 1996, the IECA Acambaro campus has helped thousands of people develop new skills for work, entrepreneurship, and improve their opportunities. Thirty years after its founding, the Institution has offered approximately 6,000 courses and issued 80,000 training certificates .

This trajectory is part of the work of the People’s Government, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, to bring training opportunities that contribute to the development of people and the well-being of their families.

Salomon Ceballos Ochoa , director general of IECA, said that behind these results are stories of effort and overcoming adversity. He shared that when his family faced economic hardship, his parents took a cheesemaking course that allowed them to get ahead and offer their children a professional career.

“Those of us who are part of IECA Acambaro have reason to be proud of this history and, at the same time, are committed to continue to build upon it. If these years have taught us anything, it is that there are always new ways to learn, grow, and move forward. At IECA, we train you to go further,” said Edith Salgado Zamora, director of the IECA Acambaro.

The training has also transformed the lives of people like Martina Guerrero, who used to make school uniforms, an activity that caused her stress and affected her health. After taking several courses at IECA, she discovered a new passion in jewelry making, which led her to change the focus of her business.

“When I started the jewelry-making course, something changed in me. I liked it so much that little by little I discovered a passion I didn’t know I had. Jewelry-making not only became an activity for me, it was also a way to feel better and find something I enjoyed doing. That’s why I decided to change the focus of my business and dedicate myself to jewelry-making,” said Martina.

Alejandra Martinez, was trained in facial services, pedicure and manicure, knowledge that made it posible for her to work and better organize her time.

“Over time, the training helped me to work for myself, better organize my schedule, and dedicate more time to my family. Having my own business has also taught me to be consistent, value my effort, and continue to improve myself,” said Alejandra.

IECA reaffirms the commitment to offer training that helps people develop their skills, start businesses, and build new opportunities for themselves and their families.
