Five instructors from the Institute earned 13 accreditations to assess Community Policing skills
Seven graduates of Public Security passed the exam that allows them to advance towards obtaining their professional degree

Those who train the next generation of police officers must also have their knowledge and skills certified.
Based on this premise, five instructors from the State Institute of Public Security Training (INFOSPE) obtained 13 certifications that will allow them to participate in the training and skills assessment for Community Policing.
The result was obtained after six days of training and evaluation, held from August 24 to 29 at the University of Police and Security Sciences of Aguascalientes.
The 13 accreditations correspond to different areas of the seven Core Competencies for Police Work considered for this profile. Each instructor had the opportunity to be certified in more than one area, hence the number of accreditations is greater than the number of participants.
The Executive Secretary of the National Public Security System and the Academic Council of the Western Region also participated in the process.
For INFOSPE, having more accredited instructors means expanding its capacity to prepare and evaluate personnel participating in Initial and Continuing Training programs, under criteria established by the National Public Security System.
But professionalization does not end with police training.
In another process developed between August 29 and September 4, seven graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Public Security presented and passed their General Knowledge Exam.
The assessment tested the knowledge and skills acquired during the degree program and represents one of the final steps to formally conclude the graduation process.
In a matter of days, the Institute registered progress in two distinct but complementary areas:
- Credit those who have the responsibility of teaching and evaluating
- Accompanying those who chose public security as a field of professional training until graduation
The Secretary of Security and Peace, through INFOSPE, will continue to promote training, specialization and academic development as tools to enhance the preparedness of those who comprise and strengthen security institutions.
