Natura strengthens its operations in Celaya

Upon reaffirming its trust in Guanajuato Natura will expand production lines, incorporate quality control technology, and increase its manufacturing capacity in the State

Natura Mexico’s trust in Guanajuato translates into a new stage of growth for its Celaya plant, which will expand its production lines and incorporate technology for quality control, with the goal of increasing the manufacture of Natura products in Mexico from 30 to 60%.

On behalf of the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Undersecretary of Investment Attraction of the Secretary of Economy, Alejandro Hernandez Fonseca, noted that the permanence and expansion of Natura and Avon in Celaya reflect the conditions that Guanajuato offers to consolidate operations, strengthen productivity and generate opportunities for families.

“In Guanajuato, we understand attracting investment as the means to transform people’s lives, generate development, and build shared prosperity that reaches families in all 46 municipalities of the State,” Hernandez Fonseca said.

Natura and Avon have a long-standing presence in Mexico. In Guanajuato, the Celaya plant has become a strategic hub for the company’s manufacturing and distribution operations, following Avon’s decision to relocate its production and distribution facilities to this municipality.

Currently, the complex covers an area of ​​over 189,000 square meters and provides direct employment for more than 1,000 people, in addition to contributing to a chain that indirectly benefits 24,000 people. With the strengthening of its operations, Natura reaffirms its commitment to Celaya and Guanajuato, where its plant is part of an industrial history that continues to grow.

Natura’s expansion aligns with the vision of “Guanajuato Suma,” the new economic policy promoted by Governor Libia Dennise to evolve the State’s production model through targeted investments, sectoral diversification, innovation, talent development, and strengthening of local businesses and supply chains.

For Guanajuato, the permanence and growth of companies with an international presence represents an opportunity to strengthen a more diversified and competitive economy, taking advantage of its infrastructure, talent, strategic location and productive capacities.

The Secretary of Economy is working to ensure that each investment generates greater value in the territory, strengthens Guanajuatense suppliers, promotes talent development, and contributes to integrate more local companies into global value chains.

These actions are complemented by the strengthening of infrastructure and logistics, as well as training and capacity-building strategies such as Microcredentials.
