Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the general director of the State DIF System, Jose Alfonso Borja Pimentel and the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, inaugurated the handicrafts store of the Exhacienda San Gabriel de Barrera Museum, a space created to promote and market products made by Guanajuatense artisans.
In the inauguration of the evento Guanajuato, Inspiration that Dresses Spring Summer 2026 event, organized by the Secretary of Economy, the Marca Gto Emblem was also awarded to the four business units of the State DIF System, they are:
- The Exhacienda San Gabriel de Barrera Museum, Chapels, gas station and parking lot
The Marca Gto Emblem distinguishes companies and institutions committed to the quality, identity and economic development of Guanajuato.
Borja emphasized that this achievement represents the institution’s commitment to offer services with high quality standards and, at the same time, open new spaces for the talent of Guanajuato’s artisans to reach more people.
“Receiving the Marca Gto Emblem is a source of pride because it reflects the responsible work we do as an institution; that is why today we are taking another step by opening this crafts store, a space that will allow the talent, creativity and identity of our artisans to find new channels to reach those who visit this emblematic museum,” he said.
Borja said that each of the business units of the State DIF System represents an opportunity to strengthen the institutional assets and generate better services for families, always with a focus on social responsibility and development for Guanajuato.
The Official added that the opening of the store will enrich the experience of those who visit the former San Gabriel de Barrera Hacienda, by incorporating a space where they can purchase representative products from the municipalities of Guanajuato made by artisan hands.
“Obtaining the Marca Gto Emblem recognizes the ongoing efforts of the State DIF System to provide quality services. With this new store, we are strengthening the offer of the San Gabriel de Barrera Museum and, at the same time, creating a showcase to promote the talent and work of Guanajuatense artisans,” said Borja.
