More than 13,000 families in Guanajuato benefit from the export activity that connects Guanajuato with one of the most important industrial markets in Central Europe
Guanajuato’s exports to the Czech Republic exceeded $6.1 million during the first quarter of 2026

Behind every Guanajuatense product that crosses borders lies a story of hard work, employment, and well-being for thousands of families. Exports not only strengthen the State economy but also create opportunities for more people to access formal employment, develop new skills, and improve their quality of life.
Today, more than 13,000 Guanajuatense families benefit from the trade relationship of Guanajuato with the Czech Republic, one of Central Europe’s most important industrial markets. Thanks to the work of 27 exporting companies, Guanajuato continues to bring its talent, innovation, and manufacturing capacity to new international destinations.
According to estimates from the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (COFOCE), during the first quarter of 2026, Guanajuato’s exports to the Czech Republic reached a value of over 6.1 million dollars, representing a growth of 7.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
These results reflect how foreign trade translates into tangible benefits for Guanajuatense families, boosting the creation of jobs, strengthening regional productive activity, and creating conditions for more inclusive and sustainable economic development.
Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo has promoted a strategy aimed at strengthening Guanajuato’s international presence through market diversification, attracting business opportunities, and providing ongoing support to local businesses to boost their global competitiveness.
In this effort, COFOCE continues to work hand in hand with Guanajuatense companies to strengthen their export capabilities, identify business opportunities, and consolidate their presence in international markets.
Among the main products shipped to the Czech Republic are:
- Measuring instruments and electronic medical equipment, electric power distribution equipment, metal valves, specialized textiles, and automotive industry components
The municipalities that lead Guanajuato’s exports to this destination are:
- Silao, San Miguel de Allende, Irapuato, Guanajuato City, Leon, Celaya, Acambaro, Apaseo el Grande, San Jose Iturbide and Comonfort
With a strategy focused on diversifying destinations, strengthening exporting SMEs, and generating new business opportunities, Guanajuato position itself as one of Mexico’s leading states in foreign trade.
