With a constantly growing wine industry, recognized for the quality of its wines and for an increasingly solid wine tourism offer, Guanajuato presents the official calendar of the 2026 Harvest Festival, a season that will bring together tradition, gastronomy, culture and experiences around wine in different municipalities of the State.
The People’s Government, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, celebrates the wine industry, as it is no small feat that wines produced in the Valley of Independence have garnered 606 medals in national and international competitions, consolidating Guanajuato as one of the most important wine regions in Mexico, confirming the quality and competitiveness of the 165 labels that are promoted in specialized markets.
The Secretary of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI) works to strengthen the entire value chain of Guanajuato, which currently ranks fourth nationally in wine production, with 82 wine projects, of which 27 offer wine tourism experiences.
The Wine Harvest Festivals have become one of the most representative expressions of Guanajuato’s wine industry. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Guanajuato Grape and Wine Producers Association, the wineries, and the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, these celebrations have strengthened the regional economy and the State’s tourism positioning.
Since 2022, the Secretary of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI) has supported the grape harvest festivals through various promotional and support activities, and this year 15 harvest festivals are planned, scheduled from August to October, with the participation of established vineyards and new wine tourism offers, in Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of National Independence, San Miguel de Allende, San Felipe and Silao de la Victoria.
The experiences will include grape stomping, specialized tastings, pairings, vineyard tours, culture shows, live music and gastronomic activities that will let visitors and residents to get to know the wine-growing treasures of Guanajuato.
The People’s Government and SECTURI work for a Guanajuato that opens new paths, where wine is lived, shared and becomes an experience that connects with the essence of the territory.
