In order to promote entrepreneurial culture, support local consumption, and strengthen the region’s economic development, the State Institute of Training held the first Entrepreneurship Fair “Made with Talent IECA 2026” at the Purisima del Rincon campus.

The event brought together entrepreneurs who graduated from IECA’s training programs, who presented products and services developed with the skills acquired through their training process, consolidating self-employment projects and economic growth.

State and Municipal Authorities noted the importance of creating spaces that strengthen local talent and bring training, networking, and development opportunities closer to Guanajuatense families.

“I am very proud that many products from here in Guanajuato are in Japan, in the United States, in Canada, they are all over the world representing the culture of Guanajuato, representing Purisima del Rincon, San Francisco, all the municipalities of Guanajuato, this is thanks to people like you who dared to train yourselves first, then dared to start your own businesses,” said Salomon Ceballos Ochoa, Director General of IECA.

Representing the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, Luis Andres Alvarez Aranda attended, and recognized the effort of the participating entrepreneurs and the importance of promoting strategies that strengthen entrepreneurship and SMEs in Guanajuato.

Luis Andres Alvarez Aranda, Undersecretary of Employment and Labor Training, said: “Go on, as Solomon said, taking advantage of the opportunities and courses offered by the IECA of this great institution, which, through its 31 campuses, serves as an engine to strengthen talent and the growth of Guanajuato.”

As part of the activities, the keynote address “Brands with purpose: What Nike taught me” was given by Alfonso Bueno, who shared experiences on leadership, innovation and building brands with a strategic vision.

Additionally, the talk “Entrepreneurial Experiences” was held, with the participation of Salomon Torres Antillon and Julieta Mendez Velazquez, who shared challenges, lessons learned and tools to strengthen productive projects.

The fair also featured networking spaces and information booths from agencies and organizations such as Marca Gto, COFOCE, Tu Puedes Guanajuato, the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, and the Regional Employment Direction, providing guidance, services, and tools to strengthen entrepreneurship and SMEs.

As a central part of the event, an exhibition area was set up featuring entrepreneurs from various sectors, including gastronomy, fashion, design, crafts, natural cosmetics, accessories and personalized products, showcasing the talent and creativity developed through training.
