Toyotetsu de México commemorates its 10th Anniversary in Guanajuato, where it has made an investment of more than 187 million dollars and has generated more than a thousand jobs, consolidating as a strategic player in the automotive industry and an example of investment that promotes regional economic development.
On behalf of the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, highlighted the commitment of the State Government to continue working hand in hand with the companies that trust in Guanajuato, providing certainty, continuity and a competitive environment for the growth of their investments.
Since its opening in 2016 in Apaseo el Grande, and the start of its operations in 2019, Toyotetsu de Mexico has consolidated itself as a Tier 1 company in the manufacture of auto parts, producing key components for the automotive industry, which contributes to position Guanajuato as a benchmark in advanced manufacturing.
Its presence has strengthened the industrial ecosystem of the Laja-Bajio region, attracting suppliers, encouraging investment in infrastructure, promoting technology exchange, and enhancing talent development. Today, this region is consolidating as a world-class automotive hub, a result of the collaboration of companies, workers, and Government.
Toyotetsu is a Japanese company with a presence in 10 countries, over 14,000 employees worldwide, and clients such as Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Honda, and Subaru. In Guanajuato, it employs approximately 1,000 people and has been recognized for its commitment to social responsibility, regional development, and the creation of high-performing work environments, earning certifications such as Great Place to Work.
The continued presence and growth of companies like Toyotetsu sends a clear message: Guanajuato is a reliable destination for investment. These types of projects not only drive industrial development but also integrate micro, small, and medium-sized companies (MSMEs) into global value chains, strengthening the State’s competitiveness.
The People’s Government reaffirms its commitment to attract investment, integrate local suppliers, provide specialized training, and develope competitive talent, promoting more opportunities for growth and development for the people of Guanajuato.
