Being a police officer can become a way for Guanajuatenses to develop professionally and personally. 

The State Institute for Public Security Training (Infospe) of the Secretary of Security and Peace, keeps its calls open to begin the professional development process of the Police Career.

Members of the State Public Security Forces (FSPE), along with cadets and instructors from INFOSPE, invite you to the People’s Pavilion at the Leon State Fair, in Hall C3, Stand 239, where they present information about police training requirements and programs. They will also share their experiences with anyone interested. 

“We are at the People’s Pavilion, bringing all our police training programs closer to you, including Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, so that you can join our forces at the Secretary of Security and Peace and find in policing a profession and a way of life. We are waiting for you; this could be the best decision of your life,” said Francisco Javier Zaragoza, General Director of Infospe.

To participate in the application process for a police officer position, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be between 18 and 40 years old, prove that you have completed upper secondary education or its equivalent and, for the investigation areas, prove that you have completed higher education or its equivalent.
  • Not to suffer from chronic degenerative diseases and be a Mexican citizen by birth in full exercise of your political and civil rights, without holding any other nationality. Not to have been convicted by a final judgment for an intentional crime nor to be subject to criminal proceedings. 
  • For inactive personnel from other police corporations, they must have passed the Guanajuato State Control and Trust exam, which must be valid

Upon completion and accreditation of the six-month Initial Training Program, the gross monthly income is 28,502 pesos.
