The People’s Government and the Honda assembly plant held the closing ceremony of the BecaT Job Training Program, in the “Automotive Assembly Operator” modality.
In this edition, a total of 274 graduates, 72 women and 202 men, from Celaya, Comonfort, Cortazar, Jaral del Progreso, Juventino Rosas, Salamanca, Salvatierra, Tarimoro and Villagran, successfully completed seven highly specialized courses, strengthening regional talent in Guanajuato.
Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, is promoting a coordinated effort with companies already established or planning to establish in the State to consolidate industrial development and the professionalization of human capital in the State.
The Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, explained that one of the strategies for attracting investment is to provide talent for companies, so economic policy focuses on developing training programs that connect directly with the real needs of the productive sector.
“It’s not just about training: it’s about fulfilling the trust you place in us to help you build this future and give you the tools to compete, to advance, and to prosper. The message is clear for businesses: setting up shop in Guanajuato is crucial, because here there is certainty, the rule of law, infrastructure, and talent,” said Villasenor.
The program was developed using a methodology of 20% theory and 80% practice, with a total duration of 152 hours.
The curriculum addressed cross-cutting themes for the industry such as:
- Technical training in vehicle assembly
- Corporate induction and organizational culture
- Industrial safety and environmental preservation
- Quality management and professional ethics
As part of the “Onboarding” strategy, this course not only provides technical skills, but also fosters the values and attitudes necessary to be part of the Honda company, promoting a productive and long-term cultural environment.

Honda in Guanajuato
Since its inauguration in 2014, the Honda plant in Guanajuato has positioned itself as a key driver of innovation and economic development in the region.
Initially dedicated to the production of the Honda Fit model, the facility has evolved to now manufacture the successful HR-V SUV and CVT transmissions, with an annual capacity of 200,000 vehicles and 300,000 transmissions.
