Irapuato/Gto News
In a reunión with leaders of merchants and market vendors from various municipalities in the State, the Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato (Financial and Support You Can Guanajuato) made available to this sector the “Estamos Contigo” (We Are With You) credit, designed to strengthen the popular economy and support those who sustain local commerce.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, Director General of the agency, said during this reunión that the State government led by Governor Libia Dennise Garc}ia Munoz Ledo seeks to consolidate its close relationship with the sector.

“The Governor has asked us to be very close and attentive to you because we recognize that you are the engine of the local economy, you are the ones who move the economy, you not only sell products but also move inspirations, dreams, preserve traditions and provide sustenance to thousands of families,” said Ivon.
“I appreciate the trust that has been placed in this Financial Institution and Support Program, Tu Puedes Guanajuato, which has only been running for a year, and we have already had very good results,” said Padilla.

She explained that the “Estamos Contigo” credit, Tu Puedes Guanajuato lends from 10 to 100 thousand pesos, with a preferential rate of 6.75 percent annually to acquire merchandise, supplies, raw materials, machinery, furniture, transport equipment or equipment for your business.
The loan offers an eight-week grace period before payments begin and a 78-week repayment term. Furthermore, it provides streamlined procedures and personalized support, so merchants can invest more in their merchandise and less in interest payments.

For Adriana Patricia Fernandez, president of the board of directors of the Central de Abastos de Leon and coordinator of the women’s cabinet of the National Confederation of Associations of Merchants of the Supply Center CONACCA, the support of the Government of the State of Guanajuato for the economic sectors is of great help.
“This program represents a great opportunity to strengthen our markets, associations, and merchants. We recognize and appreciate this direct approach to the sector, which allows us to provide clear, timely, and accessible information that contributes to promote formalization, training, and economic development for those who work in the markets every day,” said Adriana.

Griselda Velazquez, general director of commerce and supply of that department, explained that these financings are “a breath of fresh air” so that merchants and market vendors can do well.
Maria Soledad Perez, representative of the “Tomasa Esteves” market and the “Tomasitas” association in Salamanca, said that the financing schemes offered by the People’s Government are historic for commerce because of the ease of granting, the rate and the amounts.

She said that, previously, the sector he represents was not well regarded by traditional banks, and their options for accessing credit were limited and costly.
Merchant leaders from the following areas attended this meeting:
- Leon, San Francisco del Rincon and Purisima del Rincon, Cortazar, Silao, Guanajuato, Romita, Penjamo, Irapuato, Salamanca, Yuriria, Manuel Doblado and Pueblo Nuevo. Xichu, Villagran, San Luis de la Paz, San Miguel de Allende, Comonfort, Celaya, Doctor Mora, Tarimoro and Tierra Blanca
The State Government supports merchants in their development, by consolidating the economy in the center of Mexico through smart and Affordable financing.
