IECA brings training to the workplace

On-site training is tailored to production and social needs, besides it promotes the immediate application of skills

In order to promote the professionalization and competitiveness of Guanajuato’s talent, the State Institute of Training (IECA) promotes the on-site training modality, an education strategy that consists of delivering courses and training directly at the facilities of companies, institutions or community spaces, adapting content, times and methods to the real conditions of the work or social environment.

On-site training is planned based on a prior assessment with the requesting organization (company, school, municipality, or community group) to design content and practical methodologies. 

IECA instructors bring the necessary equipment and materials, conduct practical activities in the actual workstation or area, and evaluate skills in context, facilitating the immediate transfer of learning to the real job. This process is described in the IECA training model and its course offer.

• Immediate application: By learning in the real work environment, skills are adopted and consolidated more quickly
• Relevance and pertinence: The content is tailored to the productive and technological needs of the position or community
• Access and coverage: This modality reduces travel and time barriers, expanding opportunities for people in rural areas or with family responsibilities
• Official validity: Upon completion, participants receive certificates endorsed by IECA and the Secretary of Education, which validates their skills before employers and institutions

Specific benefits by sector:

• Social sector: People from vulnerable communities and groups gain access to practical training for entrepreneurship, self-employment and community projects, with certificates that facilitate support and financing programs
• Education sector: Teachers and students receive contextualized training that strengthens the training offer and opens pathways for technical certification in complementary skills
• Government sector: Public servants become professionalized in specific functions (management, citizen services, security), improving the quality of service and administrative efficiency
• Business sector: Workers acquire skills aligned with real production processes, increasing productivity, standardizing practices and facilitating the company-employee link with official certificates

On-site training responds to the principles of the People’s Government, led by Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, by prioritizing people, ensuring inclusion and proximity, promoting transparency in certification, and directing training towards measurable results that directly benefit the community and the economic development of the State

Trained Guanajuatenses

• As of November 2025, 68,866 people have been served in training in the State of Guanajuato; expecting to close the year with more than 70,000 people served
