In the Seventh Ordinary Session of the State Commission of Security Secretaries in San Francisco del Rincon, the support of the State Highway Police for all municipalities was reaffirmed

The Secretary of Security and Peace called to redouble the effort to protect the people of Guanajuato during this holiday season.
During the Seventh Session of the State Commission of Secretaries of Public Security or their equivalents, the Undersecretary of Security, Hugo Cesar Romero Rodriguez, reiterated the support they have from the State Highway Police (PEC), which has new equipment and more operational personnel.
“What is most valuable is that we have these tools to work together on the highway sections. This work is of all of us, along with the municipalities that are joining in and working in a coordinated manner,” said the Official.
The PEC went from 184 members to 434, that is, 135% more; and from 19 radio patrols it now has 80 in constant operations.
With the holiday season approaching, the State Official asked municipalities to strengthen their patrol strategy, community outreach, and operational capacity, especially in commercial areas.
“This season, we will focus inter-municipal operations in commercial areas, with a strong presence from the State Public Security Forces in these municipalities, and we will be working with the tourism unit; let’s not give up, it’s an important season where we have to show our wit,” said the State Official.
The State Government also launched the Guadalupe-Reyes operation, from December 11 to January 7, 2026, in which more than 22,800 women and men from all corporations participate, supported by 3,813 units.
