Guanajuato is consolidating its position as an investment destination with the laying of the first stone of the SHPAC company and the relaunch of KTX Automotive Components, which together total 60 million dollars and will generate more than 400 jobs in Leon and Silao.

Under the leadership of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, Guanajuato is consolidating its competitiveness by strengthening strategic projects that bolster the productive sector and attract investment to the region.

The Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, reiterated the commitment to continue creating conditions that promote targeted, complementary, and sustainable investments. These actions are aimed to strengthen local production chains and guarantee inclusive and sustainable economic development for Guanajuato.

“Our commitment is to create conditions to attract investments that boost the local economy, open opportunities for local businesses, and strengthen production chains through Industrial Connection and the utilization of Prosperity Ecosystems. Hard work and perseverance are the path to transforming the lives of the people of Guanajuato,” said Villasenor.

The first stone was laid for SHPAC, a South Korean company, which represents a $40 million investment for the installation of a plant in Leon specializing in the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders and mechanical components, with a direct generation of 120 jobs.

This plant will strengthen the local metalworking industry and serve international markets through companies such as Oshkosh, Texes and CAT.

Villasenor Aguilar reaffirmed the commitment of the People’s Government to respond to business trust by creating decent jobs, which are fundamental to improve the quality of life of Guanajuatenses.

In addition, the rebranding of the company KTX Automotive Components was celebrated, which, after the incorporation of German capital, consolidates an investment of 20 million dollars in Silao, within Guanajuato Puerto Interior and the generation of 300 direct jobs.

KTX positions itself as a key partner for international automotive brands and its operation contributes to the diversification and competitiveness of the automotive-auto parts sector in Guanajuato; among its partners are: Volkswagen, BMW, Volvo, Audi, Porsche and Tesla.

Their specialization in high-precision plastic components for vehicle interiors and exteriors sets standards in the automotive-auto parts industry worldwide.

During the current State administration, 37 investment projects have been completed with more than 3.146 billion dollars, equivalent to almost 40% of the six-year goal, which will generate more than 9,000 jobs.
