Guanajuato has 129 markets, 440 tianguis and 4 wholesale centers for shopping during these festivities

The People’s Government, through the Secretary of Economy, invites the people of Guanajuato to purchase products for the Day of the Dead in local markets and tianguis.

Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo is promoting initiatives to improve the quality of life for families in Guanajuato. Buying local strengthens businesses in Guanajuato, boosts the economy, and fosters prosperity.

The head of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, pointed out that every purchase from local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) strengthens the State economy, generates jobs and keeps traditions alive.
The products offered for the preparation of altars and offerings guarantee quality and authenticity, in addition to supporting the families that depend on this activity.

In Guanajuato there are:
- 129 markets
- 440 tianguis
- 4 wholesale centers
- They group more than 106,000 merchants
- 80,000 in tianguis
- 24,000 in markets
- 1,800 in wholesale centers

These spaces are the driving force of the commercial sector, which represent 48.3% of the more than 269,000 economic units in the State and employs 108,616 people.
Buying from local merchants is a key strategy to strengthen the economy and empower MSMEs in Guanajuato.

The People’s Government, through the Ministry of Economy, continues to strengthen the ecosystems that allow private enterprise to create and maintain jobs, contributing to the well-being of Guanajuatense families.
