Nine months after its creation, the Financial and Support Agency Tu Puedes Guanajuato has approved more than 4,890 financing projects, totaling more than 335 million pesos

“Today in Guanajuato we have a financial institution that supports our people, with very simple requirements and very agile procedures, so they can continue investing in their businesses,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo during the broadcast of the program Connecting with People.
The Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Fund is an institution that, nine months after its creation, has approved more than 4,890 financing projects, totaling more than 335 million pesos, of a global goal of 375.5 million pesos for 2025.
On this occasion, the Governor had as a guest Patricia Almaguer López, a beneficiary of the “We Trust in You” financing program, who owns a washing machine rental and laundry service business.
“I started with a lot of enthusiasm to help my son, who has a disability. I came up with the idea of renting washing machines. I’ve been running my business for a year and four months, and thanks to the financing they gave me, I was able to invest, and now I not only rent, but I also offer laundry services,” said Patricia Almaguer.
Also as a guest on the Connecting with People program was Carla Denisse Lopez, a beneficiary of the “We Believe in You” Economic Support program. Carla shared her experience growing her eyelash application business.
“I’m very grateful because this support was like a little push for me, and I’m glad to know we’re not alone. Now I’m really putting in the effort because my motivation is my children. Now I can work and not neglect them,” explained Carla López.
In this broadcast, Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Agency, invited more people to come and receive loans, training, and support from this institution, which offers nine programs tailored for each business or venture.
The nine financing programs are:
- You Can, Loyalty, We Trust in You, We Are With You, Achieve Your Dream, Evolve, Progress, Renew Your Taxi, and Your Ideas Matter
In these programs loans are granted ranging from 10,000 pesos to 3 million pesos, payable over 24 biweekly periods to 60 months, with the lowest interest rates on the market. The financial institution also offers the “We Believe in You” financial support program, offering up to 7,000 pesos (one-time only) for entrepreneurs to start their business.
The programs that have received the most funding have been:
- “We Are With You” with 105 million pesos
- “Evoluciona” with 91 million pesos
- “Reach Your Dream” with 55 million pesos
In addition, most of the funding has been requested by merchants and street vendors, with 205 million pesos in loans and support for this sector, explained Ivon Padilla Hernandez.
In the “We Believe in You” Non-Reimbursable Financial Support Program, 2,240 grants have been delivered, with an investment of just over 15.6 million pesos (as of October 17), said the Director.
