Mission Accomplished: A young man from Guanajuato became a hero by donating his liver, kidneys, and corneas. The liver was transported by helicopter from the State Public Security Forces (FSPE) in collaboration with the Secretary of Health of Guanajuato.

A family’s heartbreak at the loss of their loved one, a 19-year-old young man from Salvatierra, diagnosed with brain death, was transformed into a courageous and empathetic decision.

The organ harvesting took place at the General Hospital of Uriangato, where the premises of the institution transformed into a barrier of doctors, social workers, nurses, and staff, forming a walkway of honor to thank and bid farewell to the donor, but also to pay tribute to the family’s generosity. Amid the silence, applause erupted.

“A person who donates becomes a hero because they can save eight lives and improve the quality of life of dozens of people,” said Amador Bautista Chavez, Hospital Donation Coordinator.
