Guanajuato also shone at the Mexican fiesta of the Latin Grammy Awards 2020 celebrated in Miami. Our State won in a great manner as it was the stage for Best Mexican Regional Song: “Mi Religion” by Natalia Lafourcade, and the video was totally recorded in the two cities, as informed by DeOchoNews.

The Mexican singer did great in a night of punishment to ‘Regueton’ and which had as a special Mexican ingredient, Yalitza Aparicio (Roma) as a presenter.
Lots of prizes
Natalia Lafourcade was awarded the most coveted prize of the night, the Album of the Year, she won for “Un Canto por Mexico Vol. 1”. She won two other awards, to Best Mexican Regional Song for “Mi Religion” and in the category of Best Alternative Song for “En Cantos” in a ceremony where also three great classic interpreters of the Latin music were honored: Julio Iglesias, Juan Luis Guerra and Roberto Carlos, as informed by DeOchoNews.
The local -Estudiantina- was invited
The video of the song “Mi Religion” was recorded in locations in the city of Guanajuato and in San Miguel de Allende in March of 2020 and it had a special participation of the –Estudiantina- of the University of Guanajuato.
Sailing an immense sea

Thanks life”, wrote Lafourcade, the Veracruzan artist on her Instagram profile after winning three awards at the gala for the Latin Grammy Award 2020, that was held without public present.
