In Leon 140,000 families were benefited by SEG

The Secretary of Education has benefitted more than 140,000 families with the distribution of school supplies and backpacks in Leon

The People’s Government, through the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, held the distribution of backpacks and school supplies at the Emiliano Zapata Elementary School in Duarte in Leon, as part of the program that seeks to ensure that every elementary school student begins the 2025-2026 school year with the necessary tools for quality learning.

This event is part of the strategy launched on August 8th, spearheaded by the Governor of the People, which aims to support the education community in the start of this new school year in the Leon Regional Delegation III.

In the event, a representative distribution was held for students in grades one through six, who enthusiastically received backpacks and school supply sets designed according to the needs of each grade level. In the Leon Region, a total of 140,926 school supply sets and backpacks will be distributed, representing a significant benefit for families in the region.

“Each backpack delivered today represents the trust, hope, and commitment of the People’s Government to ensure that no child has to go through their education alone. Your effort is worth it; your education matters, and carry your dreams with you,” said the Regional Delegate for Education III in Leon, Ricardo Alfredo Ling Altamirano.

Martha Fernandez Romero, a mother, with her son, Christian Guadalupe, expressed their gratitude, emphasizing that this support strengthens the bond between the school and the community, while motivating students to continue their studies with dedication and providing significant financial support to their family.

With the delivery of support the People’s Government reaffirmed its commitment to work as a team with teachers, families, and students, remembering that education is the face of the New Beginning.
