With an investment of $60 million and the creation of 200 direct jobs, the Kirchhoff plant dedicated to specialized processes for the automotive and auto parts sector was inaugurated.

Under the leadership of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, Guanajuato maintains its position as an attractive State for investment and its leadership as an international automotive hub.

The Undersecretary of Investment Attraction of the Secretary of Economy, Alejandro Hernandez Fonseca, noted the joint commitment of the public and private sectors to promote prosperity and economic development within and beyond the industrial corridor.
“Kirchhoff is one of the companies with a secure future, but it’s not stopping there. What it’s building every day, by installing this plant, regardless of technology, has a niche market and a very clear business that will grow, and which we will witness,” said Hernandez.

The Kirchhoff plant, located in Parque Opcion in San Jose Iturbide, will specialize in essential processes for the automotive industry, such as welding, E-coat for front-end modules, collision management systems, and rear bumpers.
This plant will create 52 new direct jobs for residents of neighboring municipalities such as Victoria, Tierra Blanca, San Luis de la Paz, San Diego de la Union, and Doctor Mora, contributing to economic diversification in a State that already hosts more than 400 automotive projects, with a cumulative investment exceeding $21 billion.

The company holds international certifications such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF, and was awarded the EcoVadis silver medal, placing it among the top 5% of companies in the sector worldwide.
Germany, Guanajuato’s third-largest trading partner with 63 projects and an investment exceeding $3.5 billion, reaffirms its trust in KIRCHHOFF Automotive, a global company with 8,000 employees across 27 plants, supplying world-renowned clients such as BMW, General Motors, Stellantis, and Honda.

The event also celebrates the 25th anniversary of this German company in Mexico, which has consolidated its presence in Guanajuato.
During the current administration, 27 projects have been completed, creating more than 7,000 jobs and investing more than $2.462 billion, representing a significant 30% advance toward state goals.

The People’s Government, through the Secretary of Economy, reaffirms its commitment to continue consolidating an ecosystem of prosperity by attracting strategic investments that generate employment and opportunities for the people of Guanajuato.
With this opening, Guanajuato reaffirms its vocation as an automotive powerhouse and is committed to balanced development and improving the quality of life of its residents.
