The People’s Government is strengthening industrial infrastructure to consolidate the State as a trustworthy development hub
Grupo Marabis expands its presence in Guanajuato with a $46 million investment and 2,500 new jobs

Grupo Marabis reaffirms its trust in Guanajuato with the expansion of its sixth phase, with the opening of a new rental building and the upcoming start of construction of three additional properties. Together, these projects represent an investment of $46 million and the creation of 2,500 formal jobs.
Under the leadership of Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the People’s Government works in coordination with the private sector to develop productive infrastructure that boosts industry, prosperity, and the State economy.
Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, Secretary of Economy, emphasized that this action is aligned with public policy aimed at creating quality jobs and improving the well-being of the people of Guanajuato.
“The expansion of the Castro del Rio Industrial Park strengthens the conditions for national and international companies, consolidating Guanajuato as a competitive and sustainable industrial hub. This places us on the global radar and reinforces our appeal for nearshoring and innershoring,” said Villasenor.
The new premises:
- 11,539 square meters in the new building
- The three projects under development will reach a combined area of 66,674 square meters
- For a total of 78,214 square meters of industrial space
These buildings will have the capacity to house up to 29 companies, strengthening their ability to attract investment with strategic and sustainable infrastructure.
The Marabis Castro del Rio Industrial Park, with 603 developed hectares and 120 hectares in reserve, currently houses more than 100 companies. It is part of the Marabis Group’s three industrial complexes in Guanajuato, along with Marabis Abasolo and Marabis San Miguel in Comonfort. Together, these complexes cover 770 hectares and include 115 companies that generate more than 30,000 jobs.
Guanajuato consolidates its leadership as an investment destination with:
- 47 industrial parks
- Spread across 17 municipalities
- An area of over 7,100 hectares
- 3,650 hectares are available for new projects
The Secretary of Economy informed that it reaffirms its commitment to strengthening productive opportunities and attracting high-impact national and international investments, ensuring development and well-being for the people of Guanajuato.
