Construction sector is promoted by Tu Puedes Guanajuato

The Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Agency promotes the economic development of the construction sector through available financing schemes.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, head of this department, met in a hybrid format with more than 60 members of the Chamber of the Construction Industry in the Guanajuato Delegation (CMIC) to offer them key tools for optimal economic growth with affordable rates.

“It’s very important for us that they know about these nine financing options because we know they create jobs with their business activities. They can access this financing and continue to generate economic growth and local and regional development. Continuing to promote and keep their businesses growing is a very important industry for Guanajuato’s economy,” said Padilla Hernandez.

With this initiative, the Government of Guanajuato has funding ranging from 10,000 to 3 million pesos. This initial resource seeks to make the construction industry a key driver of progress and prosperity for all Guanajuatenses.

Raul Silva Avila, President of CMIC in Guanajuato, said that a project like Tu Puedes Guanajuato will greatly benefit the sector, which currently needs an economic boost, and is a window for the survival of companies that directly impact Guanajuatense families.

“Basically, it provides liquidity to companies and saves on the cumbersome procedures in our sector to recover payment for our work. This translates into lower-cost financing, with beneficial consequences for the company,” said Silva Avila.

“The construction industry has a direct, positive impact on family finances because banks view us as risky companies, as a risky sector, and we are the largest generator of productive wealth in the country,” said Daniel Gamez Nieto, former president of the CMIC in Guanajuato and a member of the advisory council.

Currently, the Guanajuato Chamber of the Construction Industry has a presence in 46 municipalities with a total of 312 members, and its contributions impact 66 branches of the industry.

The sector generates more than 73,000 direct jobs reported to the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) by January 2025 and moves more than 56.564 billion pesos, equivalent to 5.3 percent of the Gross Domestic Product of the economy of Guanajuato.

Tu Puedes Guanajuato positions itself as a strategic ally for the construction sector, generating a positive impact that extends to all communities of Guanajuato.
