“Women’s place is wherever decisions are made, that is why we celebrate the leadership of Mexican women represented in AMEXME,” said the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, as she inaugurated the 2025 Economy and Tourism Summit, organized by the Mexican Association of Businesswomen (AMEXME).
“It has been a path of perseverance, teamwork, continuity, and visions that allow us to continue consolidating Guanajuato as a national benchmark. Let us continue together promoting women’s leadership,” said the State Governor.
The 2025 National Summit on Economy and Tourism, held at Centro Fox, offers a space to analyze and understand the economic and tourism outlook for the year; in addition, there were panels and conferences on development, inclusion, and female participation in the business world.
“May we never again be questioned about our participation in a place, may we never again have to justify our leadership and our decisions, may we never again be questioned about why we are here and not somewhere else,” the Governor noted.
This event addressed the challenges and opportunities in the trade relationship between Mexico and the United States, judicial reform in Mexico and its impact on the economy, and strategies to boost the economy through a global vision.
AMEXME brings together women leaders from various economic sectors, from small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to executives of large corporations.
This association is the largest network of businesswomen in Mexico, with presence in:
- 30 states
- Divided into 15 regions
- More than 75 chapters
- More than 4,500 members
The Governor of Guanajuato called on women entrepreneurs and businesswomen from Guanajuato to team up and approach Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato to continue their growth. “In this Administration, for the first time headed by a woman, the focus is on supporting women,” said Libia Dennise.
