The Guadalupe-Reyes Operation led by the Secretary of Security and Peace and implemented by various corporations at all levels of government in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato, concluded with results that demonstrate the commitment of those who comprise them.
From December 11, 2024 to January 7, 2025, the Secretary of Security and Peace, through actions organized by the General Directorate of the State System of Coordination, Command, Control, Communications, Computing and Intelligence -C5i-, carried out 15,838 seizures, of which 14,782 were drug doses; 14 magazines; 156 cartridges; 14 firearms; 41 motorcycles; 37 vehicles; 2 communication radios; 2 ballistic vests and 4 ballistic plates, among other.
To minimize risks and safeguard the integrity of the people of Guanajuato, as well as of tourists who arrived in the State for the Christmas season, the units and police officers who were tasked with staying vigilant carried out a total of 866 patrols; 846 stationary surveillance; provided 197 roadside assistance and 2 mechanical assistance; enforced 171 infractions; supported 6 pilgrimages and seized 253 vehicles due to accidents.
Also, 1,226 vehicles were inspected; five motorcycles were seized, eight cars were seized, and 274 cars were taken to a depot. The balance shows that 1,219 Carousel operations were carried out, 73 Radar operations in which 117 vehicles were inspected; 44 Breathalyzer operations involving the inspection of 72 vehicle units; and 270 motorcycle operations were carried out in which 307 motorcycles were checked.
During the Guadalupe-Reyes operation, C5i personnel responded to 591 anonymous complaints to the 089 number and 327,536 emergency calls to 911. Of the latter, 224,494 were idle and only 103,042 were real.
Seized were 512 grams of drugs, 482 grams of marijuana and 30 grams of crystal meth.
Due to low temperatures, the State Coordination of Civil Protection opened 8 shelters in which people in risk were safeguarded some of them were from:
- Leon (1,623), Purisima del Rincon (5), Silao (1), Santa Catarina (1) and Dolores Hidalgo (2)
As part of the forest and grassland fire prevention and control operation, a response was given to alert calls for 12 forest fires.
The State Civil Protection Coordination staff launched the Fireworks Operation.
Also, 318 reports were attended to at the State Emergency Management Center:
- 166 were for road accidents, 23 for urban emergencies, 126 fires, 3 leaks and spills of hazardous materials, 333 for injuries and 45 for deaths
During the Three Kings’ Parade to Cristo Rey Mountain, from January 5 to 6, the safety of 6,000 people from Celaya, 5 pre-hospital care sessions were provided, plus three transfers to medical centers.
The Three Kings’ Parade in Irapuato on January 5 was attended by 400,000 people, and 12 pre-hospital care services were provided.
Through the various directorates, sub-directorates and coordinations that comprise it, the Secretary of Security and Peace works to ensure that the transit and stay of the citizens of this locality and other is safe and peaceful.
