The Parador Sangre de Cristo is an encounter with local identity through its gastronomy, culture and artisanal products

Silao/Gto News

During the December and holiday season, the Sangre de Cristo Tourist Parador, in Silao, Guanajuato, offers an unforgettable alternative for local and foreign tourists.

This site brings together culture, gastronomy and artisanal products, promoting the wealth and tradition of Guanajuato with the sale of wooden crafts, ceramics, basketry, toys, typical sweets, artisanal drinks, etcetera.

The tenants and artisans come from different municipalities of Guanajuato, as well as the residents themselves, for example from the La Luz community. There are also artisans from Irapuato who offer regional wines and sweets, or Leon that presents leather crafts in its shop window, as well as a coffee shop from Mineral de San Pedro Gilmonene.

This inn also has three emblematic museums:

  • The Mining Museum
  • The Catrinas Museum and Fiesta de las Animas
  • The Traveling Mummies Museum

It also has a hostel called San Juan Pablo II with a lodging fee and has all the amenities such as: bed linen, hot water and lockers upon reservation.

There are artisan shops, traditional cuisine, parking and toilets, as well as access for disabled people. The Parador will be open every day from 10am to 6pm, except on December 24 and 31, when it will be closed.

Discover what Guanajuato brings to life at the Sangre de Cristo Tourist Parador and experience your history with family and friends, learning about its history, traditions and the warmth of its local products.

General access to museums:

  • $45 to $92 pesos
