The General Director of Youth, Regina Trujillo, held a meeting with directors of municipal youth care agencies, where she reaffirmed the People’s Government’s commitment to provide safe spaces and real opportunities for young people from Guanajuato to build a prosperous future.
“The only thing we want now, having the two pillars of Linkage and Leadership Promotion, is for you to feel accompanied and for us to be like this state bridge; in the end, those who are in the field and those who review the leadership of the municipalities are you and you are the ones who will tell us what the young people need,” said the head of the department.
Regina stressed on the importance of youth care institutions becoming safe spaces for the youth community in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato, where they have the confidence to approach in order to continue their dreams and goals.
The meetings with the four regions served as a space to share experiences, challenges and proposals to strengthen public policies aimed at youth. Topics such as employment, education, citizen participation, mental health and skills development were the central themes of the meetings.
At the end of these exercises, the following commitments were established:
- Strengthening inter-institutional collaboration
- Creation of safe spaces for the young
- Promoting citizen participation among young Guanajuatenses
With these actions, the Government of the People of the State of Guanajuato, through Juventudes, reaffirms its commitment to continue working in favor of its youth, providing them with the tools and opportunities necessary for them to fully develop and build a better future.
