The Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, attended the official presentation of the 2025 Leon State Fair with her family.
“I am here not only as Governor of Guanajuato, but mainly as a woman from Leon who is in love with the Fair, because it is a family Fair par excellence. Let us enjoy this, which is an inclusive, friendly and cutting-edge fair that fills us with pride in Guanajuato and the most important thing we have in our State, which are the families,” said the Governor.
This is one of the best fiestas in Mexico and is held every January to commemorate the founding of the city. It is also a key element of the Leonese identity that seeks to show locals and visitors the cultural treasures of the entire State of Guanajuato.
At this fair you can enjoy artisanal and gastronomic displays, commercial spaces and shows that strengthen traditions in a space for healthy and recreational coexistence, and it is considered ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage of the State of Guanajuato’.
Music highlights include world-class concerts and live performances by international, national and local artists.
The presentation of the 2025 edition of the Leon Fair surprised with the Mazda Forum lineup, with artists such as the British Sam Smith, the English band Def Leppard and the Puerto Rican singer Chayane, who will thrill the audience, whether with British pop, Latin rhythms or heavy metal.
Other artists of international stature include Camila Cabello, Moenia, Meduza and Wisin, among other. Also, national artists such as Bronco, Espinoza Paz, Tucanes de Tijuana, La Arrolladora, Yuridia, Caifanes, Christian Nodal, Intocable, Cardenales and Invasores, among other.
The aim of this Leon Fair is to inspire new generations, and for this reason, they announced the participation of Serena Williams, a guest athlete who will give a lecture.
Economically, the Fair will have a commercial area with quality items for everyone, including the presence of MARCA GTO.
In addition, the State of Coahuila will be the guest of honor, presenting folklore and cultural wealth.
As every year, the mechanical rides will thrill the whole family, along with Illusion On Ice, the ice show that returns with new performances. Added to this is the participation of iconic Nickelodeon characters, such as SpongeBob, Patrick Star, the Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer.
Another new feature of this edition is that the Fair is expanding and now, the Roberts Circus, with more than 40 years of colour, acrobatics and fun, will perform in the Ecological Park of the Fair and there will be activities in the Lake Forum.
The Fair will feature the emblematic Livestock Expo, in which the State Government, through the Secretary of the Countryside, promotes genetic improvement in livestock and beekeeping through the sale of specimens, training and support programs. 150 livestock farms will participate with more than 1,200 animals on display.
The 2025 edition will be held from January 10 to February 5, to celebrate the 449th anniversary of the founding of the city of Leon.
In 2024, more than 6.4 million visitors were registered and they left an economic impact of more than 3.5 billion pesos, figures that are expected to be exceeded.
