With the Comprehensive Attention Strategy for the Brick Sector in Guanajuato, the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, delivered the first ‘improved MK2’ low-emissions technical kiln in the El Refugio community.
The brick that this kiln will produce will have the distinctive GTO Pro Sustainable Brick, which will be offered at a price that will allow the project to be profitable.
“In Guanajuato we continue writing a new success story for the brick sector of Leon”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“With the inauguration of this first ‘MK2 Improved’ low-emission furnace, we continue to take firm steps to improve the quality of life of the families who make a living from this industry and also to care for and protect our environment,” said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo recalled that in January 2023, the Comprehensive Attention Strategy for the Brick Sector was presented, where institutions with brick producers and workers were involved.
The possibilities and opportunities to improve the quality of life were presented to the more than 9 thousand families in the State that make a living from this activity.
This comprehensive strategy benefits the inhabitants of the communities of El Refugio and El Valladito in León. One of these alternatives referred to the production of sustainable brick and they promoted the construction of technical kilns of the MK2 type, like the ones delivered today.
