In the presentation of the strategy of the tourism corridor of Purisima del Rincon, Mayor Roberto Garcia Urbano said that the Municipal government is ready to promote the growth and move to a new stage of touristic evolution not only in the City, but in 5 important zones of the Municipality, as well as the oficial creation of the Municipal Direction of Tourism.

With the Secretary of tourism of Guanajuato, Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel and reunited in the Posada Purisima Hotel, the Officials reunited with the services sector, one day before the World Tourism Day, both annunced that this Wednesday, Purisima is receiving the Diagnose of Tourism Potentials, from where they will start to serve the needs and projection of the Municipality and its diferent attractions.
It is all about maintaining the promotion of sports and adventure tourism, rural, cultural and gastronomic tourism, cultural heritage, regenerative and religious tourism, they all are perfectly compatible.
Among the tourism destinations to work on are:
- The City, where the offer goes from architecture of temples and Sanctuary, museums, gastronomy
- San Nicolas del Palenque, where tourists can go through paths and mountain biking
- In Dolores, they have the water fall and grills, with camping area
- Canada de Negros, where they plan to promote dams, parks, hacienda and cultural center
- In El Tecolote there is a great lodging offer
- The Magic Town of Jalpa de Canovas which has almost 11 years of tradition with the decree of its emblem
Alvarez Brunel was pleased that the municipality has the tourism sector as a priority, because, he said, it is a central factor of development, and the fact that the Direction of Tourism was created makes it even better, because the Municipality really needed it.
Garcia Urbano, the Mayor of Purisima del Rincon, said that it is a good moment for the Direction of Economic Development to let the Tourism office leave and for it to become a Direction headed by Roberto Camargo Perez, who leaves the Particular Secretary, to become the Director of Tourism .
