Representing the Center-Bajio-West Alliance, Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo invited the governors of the NorthEast-Pacific Alliance to work together with the common goal of reactivating the economy of their States in benefit of the development of Mexico.
The invitation
“As the President of the Center-Bajio-West Alliance, formed by five Governors, Enrique Alfaro, from Jalisco; Martin Orozco from Aguascalientes; Francisco Dominguez from Queretaro; Juan Manuel Carreras from San Luis Potosi and myself from Guanajuato, we all have talked about the importance of forming national alliances and strategies that promote the economy and its reactivation”, said Rodriguez Vallejo during the InterState Reunion Covid 19.
“We agreed to accept and invite the members of this region (NorthEast-Pacific) to have a reunion of both alliances, of both groups of Governors and get together in the zone of the Center-Bajio-West Alliance”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
Leave behind the crisis
The reunion, said Rodriguez Vallejo, has the goal of presenting the real scenario that we face for the economic reactivation, share experiences and add efforts towards the same strategy, because we are booming States, and if we work together we can faster leave behind this crisis.
Soon they will announce the date and place were this reunion will be held, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
Beat budget cuts
The Secretary of Health of Guanajuato and the Mayor of the City of Leon were with the Governor in the reunion. Also in the gathering, there was a participation by Jose Arturo Sanchez Castellanos, the President of the Coordinating Council of Entrepreneurs in Leon. Castellanos praised the support that the Guanajuatense entrepreneurs have received from the Government of Guanajuato, but he regreted that “our State has suffered in the last months because of many decisions by the Federal Government that is in a drive to fracture the State Public Finances, Guanajuato has suffered federal budget cuts for more than 12 thousand million pesos”.

A call to the President
In the reunion, Rodriguez Vallejo and the Governors of the Mexican States of Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Durango, Michoacan, Colima and Jalisco agreed on signing a letter that will be presented to the President of Mexico. In the letter the Governors ask the President to sit and talk with them on strategies to face the Covid 19 pandemic as well as other effects it has had on their societies, mainly violence, marginality and poverty.
“We the signing Governors insist on our commitment to work together, with no party biases and under the same strategy, always on the benefit of Mexicans, to generate a solution to the effects we are suffering and those that will come as a result of this emergency”, say the Governors in the letter.
