Denso, of Japanese origin invests 9.8 million dollars in the expansion, which will allow for the creation of more than 200 new jobs

The Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, inaugurated the third expansion of the Japanese company Denso, at its Guanajuato Puerto Interior plant.
“Today we can say with pride and satisfaction that Guanajuato is an industrial power, thanks to the cooperative alliances we have built over the years with world-class companies like Denso. A great company, registered in the select group of the Fortune 500, which has been a pioneer of Japanese investment in our state”, said the Governor.
Denso is a company whose main business is the manufacture of components for the automotive industry, the company is a leader as a supplier of automotive technology systems and components, and its main clients include:
- Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Nissan and Volkswagen
The expansion project was completed in a 266 thousand square meters lot with an investment of 9.8 million dollars, growth that will create more than 200 new jobs and will increase its production capacity.
The plant began operations in 2013 and to date has 1,800 employees, who participate in the manufacture of air conditioners, radiators, alternators and windshield wiper systems.
Denso is based in the city of Kariya, Aichi, Japan and began operations 26 years ago in Mexico. It currently has two plants in the state of Nuevo Leon and two in Guanajuato, one in Irapuato and the other in Silao, where it is opening its third expansion.
The new facilities coexist with the environment with a positive impact and consists of 40 thousand 262 square meters of construction and 18 thousand square meters of building.
Denso’s commitment to society has led to its business activity incorporating social projects with external institutions, such as volunteer activities with the DIF and IMSS, donations to schools and reforestation, among others, for example on May 28, 2019, the DENSO Business Nursery was inaugurated.
“Guanajuato and Denso share values such as work and discipline. Respect for human beings and the environment. We share a passion for innovation, research and technological development. We share a DNA of doing things well and thinking with a vision of the future,” said the Governor.
So far the Administration of Guanajuato has accumulated 105 investment projects for 4 thousand 549.2 million dollars and 39 thousand 403 committed jobs. Which means 90.98% of the six-year goal of 5 billion dollars of attracted investments to Guanajuato.
