“The continuity and professionalism of governments leads companies to trust and foster confidence for new investments”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, as an expansion plan was announced with an investment of 50 million dollars by Grupo Ferrero Mexico.
This company will develop a new production line for its Kinder Chocolate and Kinder Maxi products to supply the markets of Mexico and the United States; This project began its planning stage in December 2021 and the start of production will be in the second half of 2023.
“This investment of 50 million dollars makes me happy and reaffirms the trust that Ferrero has in Guanajuato, because in addition to creating jobs, it once again puts us at the forefront with one of the most recognized companies in the world that continues to trust in Guanajuato”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor said that 10 months ago he visited the main plant of Ferrero in Alba, Italy, where agreements were established that have been fulfilled, such as this expansion investment that will generate more jobs.
- Paolo Cornero, President and Director of Ferrero de Mexico and Centroamerica, said that this investment announcement is added to the great projects of Ferrero Mexico, which include the inauguration of the San Jose Iturbide plant in 2012 and the creation of the Innovation Center and Development in 2016.
In this last project, Ferrero maintains a school reconstruction program and has rehabilitated five, of which 3 are in Guanajuato, where a soccer field was also built.
Ferrero with the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, has implemented the “Joy Of Moving” Program in 67 schools in 18 municipalities and to date it has activated more than 25 thousand children and 450 teachers have been trained.
