The Governor of guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, led the flag ceremony of 30 young Guanajuatenses members of the Heading to Japan Program, 30th edition.
“It is a pleasure to greet the 30 young people from all corners of Guanajuato, who are already preparing to travel to Japan, a great country that is a friend of Guanajuato,” said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo recalled that when the current Administration began, the commitment was to promote the internationalization of young Guanajuatense students, which has been fulfilled, more than 12 thousand have already been supported with international academic experience.
There have been great allies such as the Consulate of Japan and the Japanese civil association Reiyukai Mexico, which since 2003 has benefited 887 young people who have participated in the 29 previous calls, said the Governor.
In this strategy, an investment of close to 24 million pesos has been made, said Rodriguez Vallejo, who thanked the Consul General of Japan in Leon, Katsumi Itagaki, and Reiyukai Mexico, for all the efforts made in this initiative that benefits the young Guanajuatenses.
This program has made it posible for students to learn about Japan’s culture, education and development, as well as its entrepreneurial spirit, professional preparation and strengthened leadership with a global vision, said Vallejo.
The trip to Japan will allow them to learn, develop their knowledge as well as expand their vision of the world for the benefit of their academic and professional growth, said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo noted that Japan is Guanajuato’s first trading partner with 133 companies settled in the State. They have invested close to 7 billion dollars, creating 46 thousand jobs.
“Have an excellent trip, raise the name of Guanajuato and Mexico high; our congratulations and recognition to your families,” said the Governor.
The General Director of JuventudEsGTO, Antonio Navarro, said that “Heading to Japan” is a program that promotes the skills and participation of young people in academic, professional and business experiences, preparing them to develop in a global framework and promote their role as leaders committed to their communities.
