Guanajuato/Gto News
In the last 30 years, the state of Guanajuato has positioned itself as a benchmark in the country by promoting the best practices and the professionalization of public servants to fight corruption.
Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, through a video when inaugurating the XIII Interstate Congress of Municipal Internal Control Corps, recognized the joint work done in this area by the Alliance of State-Municipal Comptrollers with the Secretary of Transparency and Accountability.
“I am sure that this congress will be a complete success to continue building more comprehensive, open and efficient governments. I invite you to work together for Mexico and promote the principles of transparency and accountability”, said the Governor.
Arturo Godinez Serrano, head of the STRC, said in his message that in this forum the fight against impunity in the different administrative figures cannot be overlooked and that they are regulated in the Law of Responsibilities.
Godinez recalled that Guanajuato has a firm commitment and has achieved relevant results in this area where the World Justice Project Mexico evaluated Guanajuato and positioned the state in second place in the index as the State with the best rule of law, according to its latest report.
“In 2018 we were in twelfth place and today, we are in that second reference place”, said Godinez.
This evaluation also places Guanajuato in:
- First place nationally in open government
- In regulatory compliance
- In civil justice
- Second place nationally in the absence of corruption
The state comptroller said that in metrics and measurement of criminal justice, Guanajuato is located in third place in the review of the public account for the year 2021 and in first place in federalized spending and in the diagnosis PBR prepared by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
Godinez Serrano said that with these numbers “we have a precise picture of the quality of the institutions found in Guanajuato and the effectiveness of its public servants”.
The head of the Transparency and Accountability Secretary said that these achievements are a tangible testimony of the joint effort to build a more solid and reliable state for each and every citizen.
