The 2026 Leon State Fair is shaping up to be one of the most important tourist events of next year, with great expectations in attendance and hotel occupancy.
The Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Maria Guadalupe Robles Leon, noted their trust in surpassing the results of the previous year, as well as the trust of the People’s Government, led by Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo,which translates into opportunities for all families to enjoy this event with more than 80% of activities being free.
“We have every expectation of surpassing the 6.9 million visitors we had last year, and I know we will exceed that number,” said Robles Leon.
Robles Leon emphasized that the State Government’s support for the Fair strengthens national promotion and generates a virtuous cycle of tourism growth.
“What we want is that there is hotel occupancy, because if there is hotel occupancy we have hotel tax and that will let us continue promoting the State of Guanajuato,” said the head of SECTURI.
With a high-impact concert lineup and a consolidated family offer, the State Fair of Leon reaffirms itself as a pillar of Guanajuato tourism where all families enjoy the 450th anniversary of the city capital of leather and footwear.
