Computer Engineering and Business Management Engineering students from the TecNM Campus Purisima del Rincon won a pass to the University Apps Tournament to be held in the City of Imbabura, Ecuador.
General Director Jose Ricardo Narvaez Ramirez congratulated the students and advisors who will travel to Ecuador in November to be part of the International Tournament.
Every year this Tournament brings together more than 600 students from all over Latin America who develop Apps as an entrepreneurship and propose solutions to real problems.
This 2023, 100 teams were registered with the same number of Apps and the jury selected 42 out of 84 for the international final, including the 2 teams from the TecNM Campus Purisima del Rincon that participated, “Sign Glove” and “WiseFleet”.
“Sign Glove” is a multifunctional mobile application that interprets Mexican sign language to facilitate communication for people with hearing disabilities.
“Wise Fleet” is an App designed for small, medium and large companies that manage fleets of cars, trucks and/or motorcycles. This App monitors the physical conditions of each unit in real time to its exact location from a cell phone. In addition, it controls the fleet, optimizes logistics in product distribution and registers the operators assigned to each unit, among other benefits.
The University Apps Tournament is an international process that motivates Ibero-American students to develop technological ventures that are economically sustainable over time, educates them in skills to activate the entrepreneurial gene, and is a meeting point for teachers, companies, investors and students from Latin America.
