Energy efficiency is a great opportunity to face the challenges of climate change, and Guanajuato recognizes actions that contribute to making the planet a much more habitable place for future generations.
IDEA GTO in collaboration with the Secretary of Environment and Territorial Planning, the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development, the Federal Electricity Commission, CINERGIA UG and Sustainable Strategic Solutions –SESSA- awarded the 2022 Energy Sustainability Award, recognizing the effort of the 7 companies and institutional organizations of secondary and higher education that joined efforts to achieve responsible energy consumption in 2022, thus contributing to making of Guanajuato a more sustainable State.
Juan Antonio Reus Montano, General Director of IDEA GTO, thanked the participants for their commitment to Sustainable Development and for their encouragement to continue contributing with their actions for a better Guanajuato.
Pablo Cabrera Ibarra, Assistant Manager of Customer Services of the CFE Bajio Distribution Division, congratulated the participants and mentioned that each one of them is a winner only because they participated, since they have contributed to improve the environment in Guanajuato.
Awarded are:
- Electrical energy efficiency in Large Industrial Companies
- Electrical energy efficiency in Medium Industrial Companies
- Development of electricity generation projects through renewable energy sources for self-consumption
- Innovation, research and technological development in renewable energies
