The coverage of medications is guaranteed in the 46 municipalities

The Gto Health System reports that a supply of 97.2% of medications is available in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato on the 365 days a year.
The state agency receives medications from two assigned companies that have a broad and safe supply system with coverage throughout Guanajuato.
This distribution system makes it possible that there are no surpluses, but rather that after supplying them they can be given optimal management and at the same time the population is not left without their medications.
It is important to clarify that medications such as those used for patients with rare diseases are supplied in General Hospitals that are authorized to treat patients with these pathologies.
These medications are not supplied to Health Centers, which are units where first response or level diseases such as diabetes and hypertension are treated.
Likewise, there are medications for the treatment of leprosy or lupus that are only supplied under strict control in several general hospitals.
The Gto Health System reiterated the commitment to provide treatment to patients with chronic degenerative diseases in health centers, Primary Health Care Medical Units known as UMAPS or Comprehensive Care Centers for Essential Health Services known among the population such as CAISES.
In Guanajuato, more than 2,600 different drug codes are used, and they are distributed in more than 630 first and second level medical units and up to specialty units that make up the Gto Health System.
All this distribution is made, informed the Gto Health System, in a service network system.
