The Executive Secretary of the State Public Security System, Sophia Huett López, participated in the International Women’s Forum -IWF-, World Leadership 50th Anniversary held in New York City with the theme “50 years of women changing the world”, during May 15, 16 and 17.
The International Women’s Forum, Mexico Chapter, is comprised of exemplary women in all areas of the life of the country, politics, economics, science, business, art, culture, academia and the media, and is made up of more than 200 Mexican women; at a global level, more than 7 thousand women leaders from 33 countries in 75 chapters on 6 continents are part of the IWF.

The International Women’s Forum was started in 1974 by Elinor Guggenheimer, who set out to create a network of women, committed to supporting other women as they rise in their careers and lives; The IWF is the only global women’s leadership organization with 50 years of continuous growth, and its members have distinguished themselves by being a community of pioneering women, at the forefront of change, breaking barriers in professions around the world and demonstrating that not only they are women leading, but they do it differently, and that equality at all levels of leadership creates better businesses, stronger societies and a better world.
At the 2024 World Leadership Conference, topics such as women’s leadership at work, in society, and how women are making change a force for good were addressed, as well as the main forces of change in technology, media communication, healthcare, and fashion.
During the three days of the IWF forum, there were presentations like the one by Lisa Dyson, Linnea Kornehed Falck and Stacy Flynn participated, with the topic of using technology to bring new efficiency and sustainability to sectors such as transportation, fashion and agriculture, and on the importance of investing in innovative companies led by women, a topic presented by Deborah Jackson.
