In Guanajuato, education comes first and we do not stop supporting our youth to continue their studies, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, at the Second Anniversary Celebration of the creation of the Institute for the Development and Care of Youth –JuventudEsGto-.
“In Guanajuato we believe in young people. In just two years, we have comprehensively attended to training, the development of skills and tools that promote education and continuous training of our youth”, said the Governor.
In 2020, the Institute for the Development and Attention of Youth was created to promote cross-cutting actions and programs for the benefit of students and provide them with better attention to their needs; It is a sector that represents a third of the population of Guanajuato, that is, 1.3 million young people between 18 and 29 years of age.
In these two years of work of JuventudEs Gto, said the Governor, the results with benefits for youth have multiplied with programs such as scholarships, educational loans, internationalization experiences, training and comprehensive education for young people.
The investment has been for:
- More than one billion pesos
- 143,000 supports
- More than 240,000 young people benefited with training and education
In terms of digital inclusion, the State Government delivered in these two years:
- 100,000 computers
- An investment of more than 800 million pesos.
Since the Institute was created, said the Governor, emphasis has been placed on training and leadership programs to add to the personal and professional development of youth, because there is no better way to learn leadership than working for a community, because there you learn to collaborate, you learn from the experiences of others and join efforts for some important cause, he said.
Currently JuventudEs GTO has:
- 8 leadership networks
- 11 empowerment communities
- More than 11,400 members
- 24,000 young people impacted
- 544 projects promoted by this institution
In two years, the youth of Guanajuato have been present in:
- 50 countries
- Through 35 international agreements
- 95 destination schools
- Participants study a master’s degree, diploma, specialization or live a volunteer experience
The 3 countries where there is a greater presence of young Guanajuatenses are:
- Germany, Spain and France
- More Guanajuato has been taken to the world with 1,021 young people
The Director of JuventudEsGto, Antonio de Jesus Navarro Padilla, said that the institution he represents cares about listening to the opinion and needs of the youth of Guanajuato, while promoting dialogue so that the perspective of youth is present in the programs that are implemented from the State Government.
“The youth of Guanajuato are the present for which we get up every day, to give them the necessary tools and support to fulfill their dreams and achieve their goals”, said Navarro Padilla.
