More than 350 sommeliers gathered and enjoyed the Magic Town of Jalpa de Canovas

The Best World Tourist Village and Magic Town of Guanajuato, Jalpa de Canovas, in Purisima del Rincon, was the host of one of the moments to spend time together of more than 350 sommeliers from 45 countries to try the gastronomy, know the destination and have contact with residents.
Roberto Garcia Urbano, the Mayor of Purisima del Rincon and Enriqueta Martinez, the President of the local DIF office; as well as Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, the State Secretary of Tourism, representing Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, and Ramon Alfaro, the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development; all of them were hosts of the reception to the sommeliers, as part of their stay in the Week of Wine in Guanajuato and of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles -CMB-.
Garcia Urbano invited the sommeliers to enjoy the place in new visits and to enjoy all Purisima del Rincon has to offer in culture, history, traditions and gastronomy.
Baudouin Havaux, president of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles said he is pleased of the natural setting and identity around Jalpa de Canovas, as well as of the colors and identity of Purisima del Rincon.
The activity was held in the Main Square of the Magic Town of Jalpa de Canovas, there, the sommeliers were able to enjoy the environment and the place, besides playing and knowing about traditional Mexican games in some stands with toys like the balero, yoyos and other.
Purisima del Rincon showed the more than 350 sommeliers the local traditions like La Judea, the masks and part of its history. The guests also enjoyed the traditional dishes of Jalpa de Canovas like the Walnut mole, enchiladas and other.
The event in Jalpa de Canovas was part of the Week of Wine in Guanajuato and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, in the second time this competition goes out of Europe, and Guanajuato was the host, while Jalpa de Canovas was presented as an alternate host town to show the wonderful place this destination is.
