In April, the Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato carried out 20 training actions and provided assistance to 765 people who make up the different tourism business units of 18 municipalities.
Through the Directorate of Tourism Competitiveness, SECTUR continues with the commitment to train and professionalize the different agents that intervene in the value chain of the tourism sector.
In April the main topics studied were:
- Leadership based on innovation, assertive communication and current tools, focused on raising awareness among business leaders and top management of companies
In the same month, the refreshing course for local tourist guides began with the theme History, Art and Culture in Guided Tours, based in Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of National Independence, whith 40 teaching hours and allows participating tourist guides to accumulate hours for the endorsement of their credential.
Regarding the nature segment, the Zip Line Management course in Protected Natural Areas and adventure parks was implemented with a total of 24 hours, which allows service providers in this segment to have the tools and safety knowledge, offering quality and professional services.

- First aid, management of social networks, professionalization model of traditional cooks, sustainability, tourist culture, added value, among other
SECTUR is committed to the tourism sector in Guanajuato. At the beginning of the year, they did a Diagnosis of Training and Competitiveness Needs through a consultation with service providers, Municipal Governments, agencies, chambers and key allies and visitor satisfaction indicators.
Guanajuato is distinguished by maintaining constant training and under continuous improvement and sustainability approaches to tourism service providers, promoting that visitors can live great stories, through quality, satisfaction and wanting to return again.
