Irapuato/Gto News
The Gto Health System successfully closed the Health Research Forum to strengthen research for the development needs of the medical system.
Dr. Daniel Diaz Martinez presided over the award ceremony for the 28th State health research contest, in the auditorium of the National Genomics Laboratory of Irapuato.
Martinez said that health research plays an extremely important role since it contributes not only to the prevention and treatment of diseases, but also to a broader understanding of economic, social and other determining factors of health.
“It is essential to expand the research to obtain our own data, which will mean better answers for a very complex reality. We verified this with the Covid 19 pandemic, where research had its greatest challenge from biotechnology and typing of the virus and its vaccine, to the replication of models and simulations to understand its spread and effective measures to prevent contagion”, said Martinez.
The Secretary noted that research is an important pillar in health, and ethics plays a very important role when we talk about health research.
50 works participated in this contest and there were 14 winners in 4 categories.
