The catwalk “Purisima del Rincon is Trending” as part of the program “Live the Markets and Tianguis of Guanajuato”, held for the first time outside the Manuel G. Aranda Market, yielded results, with the promise to come back and promote not only clothes, but also gastronomy, arts and crafts, culture, music and all products made with love in Purisima del Rincon.
Roberto Garcia Urbano, Mayor of Purisima, gladly welcomed this projects of the Secretary of Economic Sustainable Development -SDES- headed by Ramon Alfaro and represented in the event by Haydar Medina.
The Mayor said that Purisima for what is known and done, everything that is Made in Purisima transcends through the eyes, ears, taste and the 5 senses because it is important that everybody falls in love with Purisima del Rincon, a city with Colonial style, magic in its tourism destinations, a natural enchantment, lodging as if you were home and much more.
Lucia Paloma Toledo, daughter of Cesareo Toledo, described how “Los Farolitos, Un rinconcito de Sabor”, started 40 years ago in the lent of 1984 directed by Cesareo Toledo and his wife Blanca Celina Bermudez. This food stand celebrates the tradition of the illuminations festivity in the City, and “A corner of Flavor” refers to the geographical location of Purisima in Guanajuato.
“Since 1984, Los Farolitos offers its flavors, and the first customers were families, couples, groups of friends and workers of nearby factories and institutions that would enjoy the burritos, tortas and swiss enchiladas”, said Lucia Paloma, as her father was by her side. “We have even cooked for Hermenegildo Bustos himself, of course, in his Day of the Dead offering”.
Roberto Garcia Urbano, Mayor of Purisima, thanked Yatziri Abigail, for her performance, as well as local and foreign models for providing color and dynamism to the event.
Every day is a new beginning to go around Purisima from the North to the South and from East to West, said the Mayor.
Leonardo Mena, international designer, recognized in the closing catwalk that Purisima del Rincon, his birthplace, offers to the world the transcendence that captivates, Mena said that he personally takes Purisima with him in every trip, promoting its enchiladas, the gastronomy and culture. Mena said he loves Purisima and he enjoys coming back to his hometown.
In the Catwalk “Purisima del Rincon is Trending” Mena presented only a part of his collection and he welcomed all visitors.
In the event were members of the City Council; the President of the City’s DIF Council, Enriqueta Martinez Lopez; Paco Granados and the international designer born in Purisima, Leonardo Mena.
