The School and Services Fair turns into an emblematic meeting point for mothers and parents and students in Leon

The Services Fair organized by the National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO) in Leon has become a meeting point where Leones families can not only find offers and products for the return to school, but also the opportunity to complete school procedures, administrative procedures, and medical and preventive care appointments.
Representing Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Fund, said that, under one roof, people can receive legal guidance, access to social programs, among many other benefits.
“It’s a very valuable event, where we need to let citizens know that, in one place, they’ll be able to find and complete procedures without having to incur in extra expenses. In one place, they’ll be able to find the product they need for their children to return to school, and any procedure they need from all three levels of government,” said Ivon.
“It’s a great services fair. Here you’ll find everything from issuing birth certificates to the INE card, SABES (School of Education), and education services. At this event, families, businesses, and education connect, and that makes it valuable for all the people of Leon,” said the Official.
The Director of the People’s Finance Agency also said that, in this edition, the School Fair is undoubtedly a tool to support family finances, as it reduces spending on supplies, uniforms, and school services, and at the same time offers alternatives that allow mothers, fathers, and students to start the school year with everything they need.
Padilla said that these actions strengthen another fundamental pillar: the closeness between government, the business sector, and citizens.
“Some exhibitors have said that what we really need as a society is to join forces, and joining forces is what we’re trying to do at this services fair, which, in this edition, is sponsored by the council,” said Alejandro Arena Barroso, President of CANACO Leon.
The event presented the service of agencies such as SATEG, the Civil Registry, the Financial and Support Tu Puedes Guanajuato, the Public Defender’s Office, UVEG, CONALEP, INAEBA, the State Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office, and the Secretary of the New Beginning, that offered free services to the people.
PROFECO verified that the prices offered for school supplies on sale were respected.
