Municipalities in Region A of Guanajuato receive training in environmental and land use and planning issues in the administration of the Government of the People

The Government of the People promotes coordinated work of the State and municipalities in search of a territory with economic, sustainable and human growth, all for the benefit of society.
The Environmental and Territorial Planning Procurement’s Office (PAOT) called the municipalities of Region A of Guanajuato to the training day on environmental and territorial planning issues, which was held at the Government Center of Leon.
This approach is in line with the instructions of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, who has highlighted the importance that working as a team for the environment make us unstoppable. Therefore, helping and training public officials is a fundamental tool to bring better results to the people.
In this participation, Karina Padilla Avila, Head of Environmental and Territorial Planning, mentioned that coordination, prevention and planning with each of the municipalities is key to restoring ecological balance and territorial planning.
“Coordination with each of you provides us with better communication and therefore better results. We can prevent by addressing the issues of Co-responsibility and then plan to continue with that economic growth that must go hand in hand with environmental care,” said Padilla Avila.
The event was attended by the Environment, Planning, Urban Development and Water Operating Agencies departments of the municipalities of Atarjea, Doctor Mora, Dolores Hidalgo CIN, Leon, Ocampo, San Diego de la Union, San Felipe, San Jose Iturbide, San Luis de la Paz, Santa Catarina, Tierra Blanca, Victoria and Xichu.
The officials received training on environmental legislation and cleared up questions about the proper responsibilities of each branch of government, as well as the topics of Technical Coordination and the presentation of the Clean Company and Good Environmental Practices Programs.
All join the municipalities of Region B that have already accredited their participation in these issues, and in the coming days, the municipalities of Region C of the PAOT will be participating and strengthening this alliance.
These meetings are key to build a government that works to ensure that all voices are heard in the Government of the People.
